Margaret J. Simpson

Margaret J. Simpson, 87, of Coatesville died peacefully Monday, April 6, 2009 at the Inn @ Freedom Village surrounded by her family. She was the wife of Harvey B. Simpson, Jr., who preceded her in death in 1994 having shared 44 years of marriage. Born in Downingtown, she was the daughter of the late Andrew and Petrusia Michinok Cisarik. Margaret was a 1939 graduate of Coatesville High School, after which she was employed with Bell Telephone Co. as an operator. She was a member of St. Joseph's Church, Coatesville and enjoyed doing crossword puzzles and discussing politics. Surviving her are a sister, Mary K. Sabocsik, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by eight brothers and sisters. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m., Monday, April 13, 2009 at St. Joseph's Church, 404 Charles Street, Coatesville. Family and friends may call on Monday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the Harris-Mountain Funeral Home, 1030 E. Lincoln Highway, Coatesville. Interment will be in St. Stanislaus Kostka Cemetery, Coatesville. In her memory, contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, P. O. Box 50, Memphis, TN 38101-9929.
