Ann Max Hamer, 92, of Coatesville died Monday, February 26, 2018 at home.
She was the wife of Millard (Bill) Hamer with whom she shared 53 years of marriage at the time of his death in 1998.
Born in Coatesville, she was the daughter of the late Luke and Catherine Skulski Max.
Ann worked at the former Lukens Steel Company during WWII as a charging girl where she met her husband. Later, she was employed as a clerk at Warners Drug Store in Coatesville.
She was a member of Holy Ghost Orthodox Church and the Ladies Auxiliary of Wagontown Fire Co. Ann was a master pierogi maker and a 500 Rummie champ.
Surviving her are three children, Marlene Sontchi (Gary), James Hamer (Anne) and Linda Gindin (Jeffrey); four grandchildren, Heather Wrigley (Clint), Justin Gindin (Amy), Matthew Hamer (Alison) and Melissa Hamer; and five great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by five brothers.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, March 3, 2018 at Holy Ghost Orthodox Church, 392 Charles St., Coatesville where relatives and friends may call from 8:45 to 9:45 a.m.
Interment will be in Holy Ghost Cemetery, Coatesville.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Ann's memory may be made to Holy Ghost Orthodox Church at the above address.
