Anna M. Moschitta

Anna M. Moschitta, 98, of Glenmoore passed away Saturday, April 15, 2023 at Paoli Hospital surrounded by her loving family.

She was the wife of the late Mariano J. Moschitta who preceded her in death in 1990, having shared 44 years of marriage.

Born in Lincoln Township, Somerset County, PA she was the daughter of the late Alberico and Antonia DiGuiseppe Raimondo.

Anna was a current member of St. Peter Church and a former member of St. Joseph Church, Downingtown.

Anna was an excellent cook and baker, who had Friday Night Family Dinners with Italian specialties.  She was always asked to bake her coconut cake for church bake sales, birthday celebrations meant getting her Italian whiskey cake and Christmas always had 15 varieties of cookies.  When not cooking or baking, her loving hands crocheted afghans for the family.  For many years, she was a member of “Club 8” a monthly girlfriends’ card group.  Anna’s greatest joy of her life was her ”family”.

Surviving her are her children, Antoinette M. Legarski (Ted), Cynthia L. Strobel, Andrew M. Moschitta (Deby) and Michele A. Moschitta (Jeff Ford); seven grandchildren, Michael Strobel (Mandy), Stephanie Bachman, Anne Yoch-Russell (Austin), James Yoch, Jr. (Danielle), Candice Velez (Tony), Krista Moschitta (Kyle), and Deanna Moschitta; 13 great grandchildren, Michael, Isabella, Jacob, Lila, James III, Alexandra, Gabriella, Zoe, Peter, Julianna, Henry, Khalyla and Royce.  She is also survived by a brother, Silvio Raimondo (Stella) and a brother-in-law, Samuel Moschitta.

She was preceded in death by a grandson, George Strobel and a brother, Antonio Raimondo.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m., Friday, April 21, 2023 at St. Peter Church, 2835 Manor Road, West Brandywine.  Relatives and friends may visit with the family from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. Friday at the church.

Interment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Downingtown.
