Audrey Dorothy Ford, 88, passed away peacefully in her sleep on June 7, 2021. She was born on December 13, 1932, to the late Anna and Walter Wisner in Philadelphia, Pa. She grew up in the Fairmount section of Philadelphia and attended Penn Treaty Jr. High and Kensington High School for Girls.
Audrey was very loving, creative, and hard working. She worked as Repro Typist and Office Manager for most of her career. Despite working multiple jobs, Audrey was a devoted mother raising three daughters on her own. After retirement, she started and ran a craft business with her late husband, Frederick.
Audrey loved cooking, entertaining and taking care of others and spending time with her family. She was independent, kind and determined; always thinking she could do anything, which in most cases she could.
Audrey was an avid Philadelphia sports fan, always cheering on the Phillies, Eagles and Flyers! She also enjoyed traveling, gardening, playing scrabble and laughing. One of her favorite vacation trips was to the Hawaiian Islands which was highlighted by a helicopter tour of Kauai and watching the sunrise over the Haleakala Crater with her husband.
Audrey is survived by her three daughters, Joanne (Tom), Patti (John), and Cheri (Dave); 6 grandchildren, Lori (Jason), Michael (Jill), Jeffrey, Katie, Michelle and David and 4 great grandsons Austin, Logan, Tate and Bodie.
She was preceded in death by her second husband of 40 years, Frederick Ford and her brother, Walter Wisner.
Funeral services will be private.
