Avelino "Abby" Teijaro, 84, formerly of Coatesville died Tuesday, May 25, 2021 at Ephrata Manor, where he was a resident.
He was the husband of Margaret Augustine Teijaro with whom he shared 58 years of marriage.
Born in Frackville, he was the son of the late Avelino and Beatrice Forceski Teijaro.
Avelino was a crane operator with the former Lukens Steel Company for 34 years.
He was a member of Holy Ghost Orthodox Church, Coatesville, where he helped to make pierogies that the church sold.
He was also a classic car enthusiast.
Surviving him, in addition to his wife, Margaret; are two sons, Mark J. (Diana) Teijaro and Allen W. (Valerie) Teijaro; five grandchildren, Larissa, Brandon, Meghan, Brianna and Benjamin; 13 great grandchildren, Stryker, Mark, Liam, Briella, Lawson, Parker, Brynlee, Landyn, Kylie, Madelyn, Abbigail, Bailey, Brantley; and two sisters, Frances Benensky and Juanita Edward. He was preceded in death by two brothers, John Teijaro and Jim Lynch.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, May 29, 2021 at Holy Ghost Orthodox Church, 392 Charles St., Coatesville where relatives and friends may call from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. at the church. Interment will follow at Holy Ghost Cemetery, Coatesville.
