Barbara Hendel

Barbara Hendel, 86, of Chester Springs passed away Wednesday, August 30, 2023.

She was the loving wife of Irving Hendel with whom she shared 45 years of marriage.

Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Max and Ida Cohen Narod.

Barbara was employed for 25 years as the property manager at Exton Station.  Previously, she was employed as a chairside dental assistant for Dr. Elliot Dardik.

She was a member of Beth Israel Congregation also a member of the Choir and a past Board Member.

Barbara was an avid reader with a lively spirit who enjoyed dining out with friends and the company of her cat, Avi.

Surviving her in addition to her husband are her three sons, Gary, Steven and Robert Gittis, six grandchildren and a sister, Zena Narod.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, September 1, 2023 at Beth Israel Congregation of Chester County, 385 Pottstown Pike, Chester Springs, PA followed by interment at Beth Israel Cemetery, Coatesville.
