Barry L. Haines

Barry L. Haines, 69, of Parkesburg passed away on Thursday, July 25, 2024 at Paoli Hospital.

He was the husband of Phyllis Houck Haines with whom he would have shared 50 years of marriage in November.

Born in Coatesville, he was the son of the late William L. and Florence Dean Haines.

Barry was employed for 46 years as a Foreman at the former Lukens Steel Company.  While employed at Lukens he participated in the company Bowling and Softball leagues.  He enjoyed golfing especially at Myrtle Beach and also playing poker and card games.  Barry was a member of the Parkesburg VFW and a former member of the Coatesville Jaycees.  He was an avid fan of the Phillies and Eagles.  Most importantly, he enjoyed time spent with his family and was very proud of his daughter and grandson.

Surviving him, in addition to his wife Phyllis, is his daughter Christine N. Dantonio and her husband Christopher and grandson Taylor.  He is also survived by his sister, Deborah Garrett, brother, Brian Haines and his wife Laurie and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his brothers, William, Jr., Robert and Rodger.

A visitation with family will be held from 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday, August 1, 2024 at the Harris Mountain Funeral & Cremation Service, 1030 E. Lincoln Highway, Coatesville.

In his memory, contributions may be made to the Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd, 107 S. 17th Avenue, Coatesville, PA  19320.
