Catherine L. "Kitty" Bartone

Catherine "Kitty" L. Bartone, 92, of Downingtown died Wednesday, March 28, 2018 at the Inn of Freedom Village.
She was the wife of the late Dominick L. Bartone who preceded her in death in 2012 having shared 67 years of marriage.
Born in Coatesville, she was the daughter of the late James A. and Anna Waidely Thomas.
Kitty was a graduate of Scott High School where she was involved in school activities including swimming and diving.
She was a member of Our Lady of the Rosary Church.
As a member of Coatesville Country Club, Kitty was an avid golfer winning the Ladies Club Championship in 1961. She was a member of the Philadelphia Women's Golf Association and for 20 years was a member of Dolphin Head Country Club in Hilton Head, SC. There are many fond memories of her competing in golf matches in this area.
She was also active at Freedom Village with the Red Hatters, and participated in many social activities and excursions.
Surviving her are two daughters, Patricia K. Lyman (David) and Carol B. Swarner (Chuck Carroll); a sister, Gail Emondi; four grandsons, Bradley Krapf, Gary Krapf, Blake Krapf and Frank G. Swarner, III; seven great grandchildren, Nicholas, Alexander, Sierra, Logan, Amelia, Sage and Ella Krapf.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Kenneth and Donald and a sister, Helen.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, April 4, 2018 at Our Lady of the Rosary Church, 80 S. 17th Ave., Coatesville.
Interment will be in St. Cecilia Cemetery, Coatesville.
