Catherine M. (Filoromo) Guiseppe

Catherine Guiseppe, 93, of Brandamore, PA, passed away on March 20th, 2022 at Harrison House after a brief stay. Born and raised in Coatesville, she was the daughter of James Vincenzo & Concetta Filoromo. She was the wife of the late Albert D. Guiseppe with whom she shared 49 years of marriage before his passing in 2000. She is survived by her son Dominick (Christine), 2 grandchildren: Marissa and Joel (Katie) Guiseppe and 4 great grandchildren: Jayden, Isabella, and twins Eliana and Vincent Guiseppe. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. She had 3 siblings, Samuel and Joseph Filoromo and Mary (Filoromo) Mahan, who have all proceeded her in death.

Catherine was a graduate of Scott High School class of 1947. She began working at the age of 14 at Sante’s Drug Store. After graduation, she also worked for a brief time at J.C. Penney’s before working at Sears Roebuck in Coatesville as a Cashier for nearly 30 years before it’s closing in 1982. She took pride in all the jobs that she held.

She was a loving and devoted Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother. She enjoyed watching and attending her grandchildren and great grandchild’s sporting events. She also enjoyed growing roses, setting up a wonderful Lionel train set at Christmas time, sitting on the beach and collecting seashells during the yearly vacations to Ocean City, Maryland, baking pizzelles, taking daily walks, and the chats with many of her In-Laws after her move from Coatesville to Brandamore in 2001.

The family would like to thank the wonderful and caring staff at Harrison House and the 2 caregivers, Lynn Kennell and Patty Cloud, that helped with her care over the last year.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m., Saturday, March 26, 2022 at St. Peter’s Church, 2835 Manor Road, Coatesville where relatives and friends may visit with the family from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m.

Interment will be in St. Cecilia Cemetery, Coatesville.
