Clifford Corum Obituary

Clifford Leroy Corum (Toby) age 76 of Coatesville, passed away on Thursday, October 20, 2022.  Born June 25, 1946, in Coatesville, PA, he was the son of the late Walter and Julia Francis Corum. Cliff was honorably discharged from the U.S. Navy after servicing his enlisted term 1965-1969.  He retired from the field of Air Conditioning and Refrigeration from West Chester University after many years of employment.

A loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and son, Cliff enjoyed his dog Chiquita who faithfully watched boxing, baseball and football with him often.  Cliff also enjoyed riding his motorcycle, golfing, hunting, swimming in his pool and spending time with his grandchildren.

Survivors include his loving wife, his daughter Monica Corum, his son Clifford Corum, and grandchildren Marcella, Miranda, Sophia, Maximus.  He is also survived by his sisters, Shirley Chalfant, Patsey Rineer and Frankie Dillow.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his son Manuel Corum, his sisters, Clydie Jackson, Judy Scibek,  Marie Bartosicwcz, and his brothers, Timothy, Walter, Jimmy, Henry, and Willie Corum.

Services for Cliff will be held at Harris-Mountain Funeral & Cremation Service, 1030 E. Lincoln Highway, Coatesville on Saturday, October 29, 2022 at 3 p.m., where relatives and friends may visit with the family beginning at 2 p.m.

A life well-lived finds rest and rewards in the afterlife. Farewell to our father and friend to many, until that moment we meet you again. Let not sorrow replace the love and memories of Clifford. Rejoice in the kingdom of God that has unfolded and welcomed our beloved.

Eternal Father, Strong to Save
(The Navy Hymn)

Eternal Father, strong to save,
Whose arm hath bound the restless wave,
Who bidd'st the mighty ocean deep
Its own appointed limits keep,
O hear us when we cry to thee
For those in peril on the sea!

O Christ! Whose voice the waters heard
And hushed their raging at thy word,
Who walkedst on the foaming deep,
And calm amidst its rage didst sleep,
O hear us when we cry to thee,
For those in peril on the sea!

Most Holy Spirit! Who didst brood
Upon the chaos dark and rude,
And bid its angry tumult cease,
And give, for wild confusion, peace,
O hear us when we cry to thee
For those in peril on the sea!

Eternal Father, grant, we pray,
To all Marines, both night and day,
The courage, honor, strength, and skill
Their land to serve, thy law fulfill;
Be thou the shield forevermore
From every peril to the Corps.

Lord, guard and guide the ones who fly
Through the great spaces in the sky.
Be with them always in the air,
In darkening storms or sunlight fair.
