Connie S. Liebtreu Forbes

Connie S. Liebtreu Forbes, 82 died Friday, March 10, 2023 at Quarryville Presbyterian.

She was the former wife of the late James Liebtreu and the wife of the late Earl C. Forbes

Born in Clarks Summitt, PA, she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Eleanor Snyder Sherman.

She was a member of East Brandywine Baptist Church.

Connie loved collecting things.  She collected tins, beanie babies, cook books and magazines, Department 56, and lady bugs, as well as other things over the years.   Everyone loved her annual pool parties, picnics and snow village.  Her village was even featured in the newspaper.  It was quite the site to behold and experience.

Connie had an outgoing personality and was usually the life of the party.  Whether it was at her summer party, a baby shower, wedding reception, or a Longaberger basket bus trip.  She loved parties and get-togethers and was very good at putting these activities together.

Connie also worked very hard doing various things over the years.  She was a salesperson for Queens Way to Fashion.  She drove a school bus for over 18 years for Krapf bus company; and while driving she participated in bus driving competitions.  She became a caretaker for a couple and also a single woman all the while selling Longaberger baskets.

Born with Scoliosis (a severe curvature of the spine) in which she spent years in hospital treatment.  That didn’t let that stop her from loving to dance.  She danced at parties and as a young woman. Parties, entertaining, shopping, gardening and eating out brought her great pleasure.  She really enjoyed her pizza and chocolate.

Surviving her is a son, Ricky J. Liebtreu (Jean); a daughter, Kris Ann Leibtreu Simpson (Robert); a sister, Patsey Oswald; granddaughters, Tabitha Toalson (Chris), Tiffany Good, Kim Hernandez (Raul), Tameeka, Keisha and Erika and many great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, March 18, 2023 at East Brandywine Baptist Church, 999 Horseshoe Pike, Downingtown where relatives and friends may visit with the family from 9:45 a.m. to 10:45 a.m.  

Interment will be in East Brandywine Baptist Cemetery, Downingtown
