David E. Bird

David E. Bird, 80, of Cochranville died Thursday, January 16, 2020 at the Wayne Center.

He was the husband of Patricia A. Bird, who preceded him in death in 2014.

Born in West Chester, he was the son of the late Melvin E. and Mildred Pinkerton Bird.

David was employed as a truck driver.  He enjoyed cooking, western movies, his dog and doing yard work.  For a cup of coffee and conversation, he would frequent Jenny’s Diner and the Post House Restaurant.

Surviving him are two daughters, Dawn M. Bird and Debra A. Reilly; a sister, Donna Reifsnyder; eight grandchildren, Brandon Starling, Heather Corry, James and Emily VanScoter and Lauren, Kelly, Rebecca and Daniel Reilly; and five great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be private.
