David G. Ehrhart

David G. Ehrhart, 80, of Coatesville died Thursday, October 5, 2017 at home with his family at his side.
He was the husband of Helen Shoemaker Ehrhart with whom he shared 52 years of marriage.
Born in Clarion Twp., he was the son of the late James and Blanche Hartman Ehrhart.
David was a retired employee of the former Lukens Steel Company and worked for 10 years as a custodian at Kings Highway Elementary School. He also served in the U.S. Army.
He was a member of the Brandywine Senior Circle and VFW. He enjoyed doing the Daily Local News crossword puzzle, tinkering, wood working, collecting and restoration projects.
Surviving him, in addition to his wife Helen; are a son, Bryan C. (Kathryn) Ehrhart and a daughter, Elizabeth A. (Michael) Ferris; two brothers, Ralph (Jean) Ehrhart and Kenneth (Vonda) Ehrhart; a granddaughter, Isabella; and a close family friend, Donald Hawkins, who he thought of as a brother, and his wife, Nancy.
A Memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, October 10, 2017 at the Harris Mountain Funeral & Cremation Service, 1030 E. Lincoln Hwy., Coatesville.
