Dorothy S. Campbell

Dorothy S. Campbell, 92, of Coatesville died Thursday, October 24, 2019 at home.

She was the wife of James S. Campbell, Jr. who proceded her in death in 2000 having shared 52 years of marriage.

Born in Coatesville, she was the daughter of William and Elizabeth Bryson Sheppard.

Dorothy was a 1944 graduate of Coatesville High School.  She retired in 1989 after 30 years of working in the business office of the Coatesville School District.

She was a lifetime member of Olivet United Methodist Church and received the Order of Olivet in 2008 for serving as a church volunteer for 25 years.

Dorothy was a member of many organizations including the PA Association of School Retirees, Chester County Chapter of School Retirees, Coatesville Senior Center, Strasburg Senior Center, the Board of the Brandywine Hospital Auxiliary, Red Cross blood drive coordinator, Cornell Manor Society Presentative and volunteer at Freedom Village.  She also enjoyed traveling having visited Australia, New Zealand, Bahamas, Germany, Italy and the Alpine Mountains.

Surviving her are her children, Leah C. Teti; Kimberly C. Koons (Jay) and Neil Campbell (Melinda Melnick); grandchildren, Justin, Kellen (Jamie), Brandon (Anna), Alex (Ace), Carly (Ethan) and Chase; a great granddaughter, Gia and a great grandson, Soyer.

She was preceded in death by a son-in-law, John Teti; brother, William B. Sheppard and a sister, Betty Jane Clark.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, October 31, 2019 at the Harris Mountain Funeral & Cremation Service, 1030 E. Lincoln Highway, Coatesville where relatives and friends may call beginning at 10 a.m.

Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery, Coatesville.
