Flora H. Profeto, 91, of Coatesville passed away Tuesday, May 3, 2022 at Harrison Senior Living, Coatesville.
Born in Hagerstown, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late Walter J. and Mary Cottrell Herbert.
She was the wife of the late Daniel Profeto, who preceded her in death in 1989.
Flora was a graduate of the Ellis School for Girls where she was a member of the National Honor Society. She was employed at the Pennsylvania Unemployment Compensation Office and National Foam.
Flora was a life member of the VFW Parkesburg Auxiliary, and the Brandywine Rug Hooking Guild. She also enjoyed sewing, knitting and reading and listening to books on tape. Most importantly, she helped in the care of her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Surviving her is her son, James M. (Joyce); daughters-in-law, Millie L. Profeto and Judy A. Profeto; four grandchildren, James M. Profeto, Jr., Michelle Smith, Karl Strauss and Jason Profeto; and six great grandchildren, Griffin Smith, Tyler Profeto, Cole Profeto, Brandon Profeto, Caleb Ramirez and Alyssa Kenworthy.
She was preceded in death by her son, Daniel A. Profeto, Jr.; sisters, Mae, June, Fanny and Hilda; and brothers, Joseph, Chester and Billy.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, May 11, 2022 at the Harris Mountain Funeral & Cremation Service, 1030 E. Lincoln Highway, Coatesville. Relatives and friends may visit with the family from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. The family would request that those attending the services please wear a mask.
Interment will be in Sadsbury Friends Cemetery, Gap, PA.
