George Ralph Elia, Jr., 62, of Berwyn died peacefully Thursday, January 19, 2017 at the Coatesville VA Medical Center Hospice Unit.
Born in Roxborough, PA and raised in King of Prussia, he was the son of the late George R. and Virginia Martin Elia, Sr.
Upon graduation from Upper Merion High School Class of 1972,
George served in the United States Marine Corps.
After the military, he was employed in the construction industry.
George enjoyed watching old western movies and TV shows. He liked all sports but his favorite team was the Eagles. His other hobbies were puzzles, collecting and searching for four-leaf clover, and was a very good bonfire maker for family get togethers.
Surviving him is a daughter, Christine McAffee; sisters, Barbara Elia, Mary Urquhart and Carol McGoldrick.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Patricia Roggio and a brother, James Elia.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
