Gloria B. (Berry) DePedro

Gloria B. DePedro, 88, of Reading and formerly of Coatesville died Thursday, May 11, 2023 at Reading Hospital.

She was the wife of the late Anthony J. DePedro, Sr., who preceded her in death in 1994.

Born in Tamaqua, she was the daughter of the late John and Elsie Diefenderfer Berry.

Gloria was employed as a nurse’s aid for the Coatesville Area School District for 35 years at various elementary schools within the district.

She also was a switchboard operator for Bell Telephone.

Gloria was passionate about Philadelphia and Penn State sports. She enjoyed fishing, crocheting and going to the casino.

She is survived by her son Gino J. DePedro, whom she resided with for the past three years.  She enjoyed her eight grandchildren, Melissa, Chris, Anita, Maria, Michael, Francisco, Gus and Dominic and her great grandson,  Airyn Garcia.

She was preceded in death by her son, Anthony J. DePedro, Jr. in 2020.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, May 17, 2023 at Our Lady of the Rosary Church, 80 S. 17th Avenue, Coatesville where relatives and friends may visit with the family from 9:15 to 10:15 a.m.  Interment will be in St. Cecilia Cemetery, Coatesville.

In her memory, contributions may be made to Our Lady of the Rosary Church at the above address.
