Herbert Y. Cadoff, 93, passed away Saturday, December 9, 2023 at Shannondell, Audubon, PA.
Born in the Bronx, New York, he was the son of the late Morris and Sarah Cadoff.
He was the husband of Roselyn Abramowitz Cadoff with whom he shared 72 years of marriage.
Herbert served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
He was a member of Beth Israel Congregation of Chester County. He sang in the congregational choir and also in Gilbert & Sullivan productions elsewhere.
Herb had a long and distinguished career in the nuclear power industry working with many aspects of it for several employers. His most fulfilling assignment was as Westinghouse Electric’s liaison with the French government, where he successfully worked to maintain the company’s relationship with France. He was also renowned for his ability to see a problem and seem to instinctively know how to resolve it. It was uncanny to observers who often remarked “He can fix anything.” His help is already missed.
Surviving him, in addition to his wife, Roselyn; are his sons, Alan V. (Karen); Robert E.; Jeffrey D.; Ethan M. (Susan); eight grandchildren Erin (Mitchell), Eric, Evan, Daniel, Jamie, Noah, Ariel and Hannah; two great grandchildren Lucas and Eliasiana Sandoval; and a sister, Beverly Kirshner.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m., Thursday, December 14, 2023 at the Harris Mountain Funeral & Cremation Service, 1030 E. Lincoln Highway, Coatesville, PA 19320.
Interment will follow at Beth Israel Cemetery, 255 Water Works Road, Coatesville, PA 19320
