James Treat Obituary
James W. Treat, 90, of Downingtown died Tuesday, February 14, 2017 at home.
He was the husband of June V. Williams Treat with whom he shared 66 years of marriage.
James served in the U.S. Navy during World War II as an Electrician's Mate and continued as an Electrician after his military service.
He enjoyed turkey hunting and fishing and was a member of the Downingtown VFW.
Surviving him, in addition to his wife, June; is a step-son, Thomas Scibek, husband of Marianne; two grandchildren, Shelly Dayton and Jimmy Scibek; and four great grandchildren. He also is survived by many nieces and nephews including Curtis Adams, Deborah Stoepker, Roxanne Adams Holcomb, and Dennis Lane Adams (dec'd), who he helped raise.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, February 21, 2017 at the Harris Mountain Funeral & Cremation Service, 1030 E. Lincoln Hwy., Coatesville where relatives and friends may begin calling at 10 a.m.
Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery, Coatesville.
