Jerry Sabellico, 87, of Coatesville died Tuesday, January 9, 2018 at the Coatesville VA Medical Center Hospice Unit after a long illness.
Born in Coatesville, he was the son of the late Manfredi and Clementina Cotone Sabellico.
He was a 1948 graduate of Coatesville High School.
After graduation, he served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War during which time he received two Bronze Star medals.
Jerry was a member of Our Lady of the Rosary Church.
Jerry was a member and also a retired employee of the Coatesville Moose Lodge. He also was a member of the LGM Lodge.
An avid sports fan, Jerry played high school football and enjoyed attending Coatesville High School football games and watching his great nephew play. He also enjoyed watching NFL games and was a Penn State fan.
Surviving him is a brother, John Sabellico and his wife, Miriam of Ephrata; a sister, Linda Sabellico of Exton; six nephews, five nieces, a great niece and three great nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, January 16, 2018 at Our Lady of the Rosary Church, 80 S. 17th Avenue, Coatesville. Relatives and friends may call from 9 to 10 a.m. on Tuesday at the Harris Mountain Funeral & Cremation Service, 1030 E. Lincoln Highway, Coatesville.
Private interment will be in St. Cecilia Cemetery, Coatesville
