Joseph Riddle Obituary

Joseph Riddle, 98, of Coatesville died Saturday, April 28, 2018 at the home of his daughter, Carol, in Christiana.
He was the husband of Clara Belle Riddle who preceded him in death in 1989.
Born in Danville, PA, he was the son of the late John and Sarah Pehowic Riddle.
Joseph served in the U.S. Army during World War II as a tank gunner in the European Theater receiving a Purple Heart.
He was employed as a nickel plater at the former Lukens Steel Company and also worked at Pelet Welding. During the Depression, he worked with the CCC in Montana, Virginia and Arizona. He was a member of the Purple Heart Association, VFW, and Lukens Veterans Guild.
Surviving him is a son, Joseph C. Riddle and a daughter, Carol L. Pringle (Bruce); four grandchildren, Rodney Law, Billie Jo Riddle, Vanessa Mattson and Joseph Cox Riddle; and four great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by seven brothers and sisters.
A Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, May 3, 2018 at the Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd, 107 S. 17th Ave., Coatesville where relatives and friends may call from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m.
Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery, Coatesville.
