Lawrence N. "Doo-Wap" Steele

Lawrence N. "Doo-Wop" Steele, 76, of Coatesville died Friday, December 30, 2016 at the Brandywine Hospital.
Born in Trenton, NJ, he was the son of the late Lawrence and Seretha Martin Steele.
Larry enjoyed oldies music and danced regularly on American Band Stand. He had an extensive 1950's record collection and an encyclopedic knowledge of that era's music. Larry was always quick with a song, story, joke or trick for family and friends. He was an avid Pittsburgh Steeler fan.
Surviving him is his life partner, Bette Lou Trythall; a daughter, Roxanne Steele Book; a son, Larry Steele Jr.; a brother, Roy Steele; a sister, Patricia Kekesi and a grandson, Tyler Book.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, January 6, 2017 at the Harris Mountain Funeral & Cremation Service, 1030 E. Lincoln Hwy., Coatesville where relatives and friends may begin calling at 10 a.m.
Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery, Coatesville.
