Mae Jean P. Rosser, 94, formerly of Coatesville died Monday, July 31, 2017 at Hickory House Nursing Home, Honey Brook.
She was the wife of James E. Rosser, who preceded her in death in 1999.
Born on July 11, 1923 in Somerset, PA, she was the daughter of the late Paul C. and Alice Varner Picking.
Mae Jean was a 1941 graduate of Somerset High School and a 1945 graduate of Albright College, and in 1997 became a member of the Distinguished Alumni.
In 1946, she became a registered medical technologist and was employed at Bryn Mawr Hospital until 1954 as a microbiologist and parasitologist. From 1969 to 1987, Mae Jean was employed with the Coatesville VA Hospital working in histology, microbiology, parasitology and hematology.
Mae Jean was a member of the Central Presbyterian Church and its Bell Choir.
She is survived by a daughter, Ann E. Duff of Scottsdale, AZ and a son, James S. Rosser of Parkesburg and six grandchildren.
A Memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, August 12, 2017 at the Central Presbyterian Church, 100 W. Uwchlan Ave., Downingtown, PA where relatives and friends may call beginning at 10 a.m.
Interment will be private.
