Marian Slody Mammarella, 90, of Coatesville died at the Tel-Hai Retirement Community.
She was the wife of the late Eugene (Jerry) Mammarella who preceded her in death in 1977.
Born in Coatesville, she was the daughter of the late James and Stella (Gurka) Slody.
Marian was a 1950 Graduate of Scott High School and was employed by the Coatesville Egg Auction upon graduation. She later worked at various school cafeterias in the Coatesville School District, and at the House of Bargains children’s store in Downingtown. She was a member of Our Lady of the Rosary Church in Coatesville.
Marian enjoyed watching the Phillies games in the summer, and figure skating in the winter on TV, along with her favorite shows, Dancing with the Stars and The Bachelor.
She is survived by her sister, Joanna Saska; her two sons, Jerry (Leslie) of Downingtown and Bruce (Sue) of Coatesville; her two grandchildren, Kristen Timko (Matt) and Chad (fiancé, Laura Rohleder), her great granddaughter, Emerson; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her sister, Dorothy DeLiberato; and two brothers, James and Leonard Slody.
Funeral services will be private and interment will be in St. Cecilia’s Cemetery, Coatesville. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Compassus Hospice, 2 Campus Blvd., Suite 200, Newtown Square, PA 19073
