Martin F. Flynn, Jr.

Martin F. Flynn, Jr., 72, of Downingtown passed away Tuesday, December 5, 2023 at the University of Pennsylvania Hospital, Philadelphia.

Born in Coatesville, he was the son of the late Martin F. and Hazel Nafe Flynn, Sr.

He was the husband of Sharon Horblinski Flynn with whom he shared 50 years of marriage.

Marty received his Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy and was employed with Rite Aid for many years as a Pharmacist at the Coatesville store.

Marty enjoyed spending time making seafood dishes and watching movies with his wife.  His other hobbies included fishing, collecting antique pharmaceutical bottles, jars and equipment, and he was dedicated in representing and supporting his Irish heritage.  He was a life-long member of the West End Fire Company.  His main love of life was being with friends and family.  He would do anything for his loved ones.  He would spend endless hours at night giving medical advice to his friends and family.  Spending time with his grandkids, who were his pride and joy, was especially enjoyable.

Surviving him, in addition to his wife, Sharon; is daughter, Danielle Flynn and son-in-law, Noel Springer and daughter, Shannon Flynn; six grandchildren, Jordan, Jeffrey, Tyler, Olivia, Riley and Frankie; a brother, Jerry Flynn and his wife Judith; and a sister, Deborah Barlow.

Funeral services will be private.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly request contributions in Marty's name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
