Mary Czirjak

Mary Czirjak, born and raised in Coatesville, Pennsylvania, died peacefully at Brandywine Hall Nursing Home in West Chester, Pennsylvania, on December 17, 2022, on her 91st birthday.

She was the surviving beloved sibling of Alex "Bo Jack" Czirjak (Coatesville, PA), John Czirjak, Sr. (Fords, NJ), and Julia Colyer (Moraine, Ohio).  Her parents were John Czirjak and Julia (Boldog) Czirjak.

Mary was always the "light" of any gathering of family and friends. She had a deep appreciation for all the things life had to offer no matter how big or how small and she had a true zest for joy and happiness every day of her life! You could always see the twinkle in her eyes whenever she talked with you! How we will miss her upbeat attitude!!  She was always an inspiration. She will be remembered for her lovely happy smile and her genuine heart-felt laughter as well as her uncanny ability of remembering everyone's birthdays and anniversaries! 

She enjoyed listening to the jukebox at her family home (a/k/a Rainbow Cafe), especially listening to Dean Martin on her record player, making foiled-covered paper plates for the Cafe, doing pictures on her Lite Brite for every holiday/occasion which she proudly displayed, playing with anyone who was up for the challenge the bowling shuffleboard game which she was the Queen of, dominoes, going to the horse races with her brother Alex and her sister-in-law Mary (Lasak) Czirjak at Delaware Park and loved playing the slot machines at the casino.  She profoundly enjoyed riding in the family car and didn't care where she was going as long as she went for a ride!

Mary is survived by her brother-in-law, Robert Lasak and his wife Maryann as well as many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Wednesday, December 21, 2022 at the Harris Mountain Funeral & Cremation Service, 1030 E. Lincoln Highway, Coatesville where relatives and friends may visit with the family from 12 Noon until 1 p.m.

Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery, Coatesville.

We would like to extend a sincere thank you to Brandywine Hall Nursing Home where she was a resident for the last 12 years.  She made so many friends there with the dedicated staff, activity coordinator (how she loved her bingos and music events), all her devoted caretakers, along with many of the residents. She considered you all her extended family and she loved you all!
