Marybelle (Reiter) Witmer

Marybelle Reiter Witmer, 92, of Coatesville died Friday, May 11, 2018 at Harrison House, Christiana.
She was the beloved wife of Harold F. Witmer, who preceded her in death in 1978 having shared 31 years of marriage.
Born in Valley Township, she was the daughter of the late Clinton and Gail Orr Reiter.
Marybelle was a 1944 graduate of Scott High School and a 64 year member of Olivet United Methodist Church.
She was employed as a secretary at Lukens Steel Company during and after World War II. She also worked part time at Newberry's, Penney's and the Coatesville Area School District.
Surviving her are a son, Kirk H. Witmer (Rochelle) of Florence, TX and a daughter, Karen W. Caporale (Michael) of Coatesville; a sister, Dorothy Pawling of Downingtown; two brothers, Lawrence Reiter of Lancaster and Charles Reiter of New Providence; two sisters-in-law, Elaine Reiter of Coatesville and Anna Reiter of Wilmington, DE; four grandchildren, Corinne of Redwood City, CA, Clarke of Waterford, NY, Matthew of Los Angeles, CA and Eric of Kansas City, MO; and four great grandchildren, Christian, Cameron, Zuzu, and Calen.
She was preceded in death by a son, Kenneth; three brothers, Richard, David and Wilmer and two sisters, Sarah Arnold and Mildred Reiter and her two dogs, Duchess and Skipper.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, May 16, 2018 at the Harris Mountain Funeral & Cremation Service, 1030 E. Lincoln Highway, Coatesville. Relatives and friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, May 15 and from 10 to 11 a.m. on Wednesday.
Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery, Coatesville.
