Michael W. Slavick, Jr.

Michael W. Slavick, Jr., 76,  of Coatesville died Friday, December 16, 2022 at his home.

He was the husband of Colleen D. O’Brien Slavick with whom he shared 27 years of marriage.

Born in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, he was the son of the late Michael and Mary Mlynek Slavick.

Michael was a 1964 graduate of Bishop Kenrick High School in Norristown.

In 2011, Michael retired with 45 years of service from the U.S. Postal Service as a postal supervisor.  He was a member of NAPS for Southeastern Pennsylvania.  He enjoyed going to dinner theaters, especially the American Music Theater, also summer vacations trips to Ocean City, Maryland as well as gardening.  Most of all, he was always available to help with the grandchildren and dog sitting.

Surviving him, in addition to his wife, Colleen are a stepdaughter, Colleen Broomell (Harry) and a stepson, Michael Barton (Stephanie); three grandchildren, Kaitlin Paintsil (Ian), Hailie and Grayson Barton; two sisters, Frances Riegner and Kathy Conicelli (William) and five grand dogs.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Christa Spataccino, a granddaughter, Teresa Lynn Kresage, a brother, Bernard Harrington and a sister, Mary Harrington-Freeland.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, December 20, 2022 at the Harris Mountain Funeral & Cremation Service, 1030 E. Lincoln Highway, Coatesville.  Relatives and friends may visit with the family from 1 to 2 p.m.

Private interment will be in Philadelphia Memorial Park.
