Philip Wilkerson, Sr. Obituary

Philip O. Wilkerson, Sr., 71, died Saturday, February 23, 2019 at the Hospice Unit of the Coatesville VA Medical Center, after a long battle of multiple illnesses.

Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of William H. and Melva Fedderman Wilkerson.

Philip attended Edison High School in Philadelphia.

Philip served in the U.S. Air Force from 1966 to 1970.  After his military career, he worked as a delivery truck driver, at the Post Office and as a prison guard at Holmesburg prison.

Philip married Judy English in 1971, they were married for 21 years.

He enjoyed traveling, fine dining and was a devoted Jehovah Witness, who spread the word faithfully.  After retirement, Phil was known to travel the country spreading the word of Jehovah, and learned the art of sign language.

Phil was also a member of the Masonic Order and had a big love for all people.

Our dad was a great man and provider with a big heart and a sense of humor and will be sorely missed by his daughter, Titania; daughter, Stacey; son, Philip, Jr.; 4 grandchildren, Kierra, Christopher, Shirleen and Rainier; adopted daughter, Destiny; and 3 great grandchildren, Shannon-8, Jace-7 and Keon-8 months; and a host of nieces and nephews.  He is also survived by his siblings, Donald Wilkerson (Paulette) and Alan Wilkerson (Michele).

He was preceded in death by a brother, William (Billy) and sisters, Diana and Elva.

We love you Dad and brother and you will forever be in our hearts.
