Phyllis (Hernandez) Martinez

Phyllis Martinez, 98, formerly of Coatesville died Sunday, October 1, 2017 at home in Nottingham, PA.
She was the wife of Joaquin Martinez, Sr. who preceded her in death in 1997.
Born in Langtry, Texas on June 1, 1919, she was the daughter of the late Rapheal and Simona Hernandez.
Phyllis was a member of the former St. Cecilia Church, Coatesville.
She enjoyed crocheting, reading and cooking.
Surviving her is a son, Ronald A. Martinez and his wife, Sonia; a step-son, Charles Martinez; three grandchildren, Kurt, Christy and Michael and three great grandchildren, CJ, Holly and Rose. She has two brothers, Michael and Frank Hernandez and seven sisters, Lena Rich, Rachael Kline, Pauline Rosado, Dolores Martinez, Theresa Murrero, Janet Burgos and Mary Rosado
She was preceded in death by two step-sons, Joaquin Martinez, Jr. and Jack Martinez and five brothers, Andreas, Raphael, Pasquale (Mex), Raymond and Richard.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, October 5, 2017 at Harris Mountain Funeral & Cremation Service, 1030 E. Lincoln Hwy., Coatesville, where relatives and friends may call beginning at 10 a.m.
Interment will be in St. Cecilia Cemetery, Coatesville.
