Preston E. Zelek

Preston E. Zelek, 67, of Coatesville died Monday, November 7, 2016 at Neighborhood Hospice, West Chester.
Born in Coatesville, he was the son of the late Stanley F. and Elizabeth Wischuck Zelek.
Preston was a 1967 graduate of Coatesville High School where he played basketball. He then served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.
He retired from the VA Medical Center in 2013, where he was employed as a warehouse manager.
Preston enjoyed horseracing; going to Delaware Park, the Preakness and Saratoga with his many friends. He was an avid sports fan, especially the LA Dodgers and the Lakers.
Surviving him are two sisters, Elizabeth A. Hildebrand and Anastasia E. Small and nephews, James and Brian McCarraher.
A Memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, November 15, 2016 at the Harris Mountain Funeral & Cremation Service, 1030 E. Lincoln Hwy., Coatesville where relatives and friends may begin calling at 9:30 a.m.
