Samuel DellaRova Obituary
Samuel A. DellaRova, 78, formerly of Coatesville died Saturday, February 11, 2017 at Hickory House Nursing Home, Honey Brook.
Born in Coatesville, he was the son of the late Sabitino and Rose Gentile DellaRova.
Sam was a 1957 graduate of S. Horace Scott High School and served in the U. S. Army from 1962 to 1964.
He was employed as a conductor/brakeman for ConRail, retiring in 1987.
Sam was an 18 year volunteer at the Coatesville VA Medical Center.
Surviving him are two sons, Steven and Samuel; two sisters, Ann Clauser and MaryAnn Jenkins; eight grandchildren; seven great grandchildren, 22 nieces and nephews and many great nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by three sisters, Theresa, Dolores, Jennie, Linette and two brothers, Dan and Nicholas.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m., Friday, February 17, 2017 at Our Lady of the Rosary Church, 80 S. 17th Ave., Coatesville where relatives and friends may call at the church from 9:15 to 10:15 a.m.
Interment will be in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville.
In his memory, contributions may be made to Our Lady of the Rosary Church at the above address.
