Stephen John Kent

Stephen John Kent of Florence, NJ, born 1950 in Coatesville, PA, died on January 24, 2018. He is predeceased by his parents, Stephen F. and Catherine C. Kent. He is survived by his brother, Richard F. Kent and nephew, Christian Kent of Stamford, CT; his sister, Cathy Kent Croom (Henry Croom) and nephew, Jonathan Croom of Scottsdale, AZ; and his fiancée, Barbara Nutbrown Strickarz of Florence, NJ. John graduated from high school in Coatesville and received his BS in Finance from Villanova University in 1972. His work career gave him opportunity to travel widely, extending throughout North and South America as well as to Europe. He later established an independent business, Kent Computer Services. His personal travel included many cruises throughout the Caribbean and to Bermuda. He had a loving, gentle disposition. His dry sense of humor was appreciated by many. He will truly be missed. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, January 31, 2018 at Our Lady of the Rosary Church, 80 S. 17th Ave., Coatesville where relatives and friends may call from 9:15 to 10:15 a.m. at the church. Interment will be in St. Stanislaus Cemetery, Coatesville. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association, heart.org.
