William R. “Bill” Clark, 81, of Honey Brook and formerly of Coatesville died Monday, November 4, 2019 at the Meadows of Tel Hai Retirement Community.
He was the husband of Elaine Barney Clark with whom he shared 61 years of marriage having been married on 8/30/1958.
Born on 8/12/1938 in Coatesville, he was the son of the late W. Raymond and Sara Markle Clark.
Bill was a 1956 graduate of S. Horace Scott High School and attended Elizabethtown College. Bill was an avid fan of the Coatesville High School basketball team for over 50 years.
Bill was employed as the Manager of the service department of Suburban Propane, retiring after 42 years of service.
Bill was a member of the Boy Scouts Order of the Arrow. He was also a life member of the Washington Hose Fire Company #1, reaching the rank of lieutenant.
Bill and Elaine spent many years camping, and spending time at his sister’s cottage in Maryland. Bill just enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, bird watching, boating, hiking and riding his motorcycle.
Surviving him, in addition to his wife, Elaine; are his son, Dean L. Clark (Lynne) and their children Donovan and Elizabeth; daughter, Drinda Clark Dale and her children, Jennifer and Greg; and daughter, Dawn Clark Wolfe.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Mildred “Millie” Clark Foot.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, November 9, 2019 at Tel Hai Chapel where relatives and friends may pay their respects beginning at 10 a.m.
