William “Mike” Logue, 86 of Coatesville, Pennsylvania passed away while vacationing in Gulfport, Mississippi, on March 09, 2026. Mike was born in Coatesville Hospital on July 14th, 1939, the only son of Mervin E. Logue and Bernadine Brown Logue. Mike was a 1957 S. Horace Scott Senior High School graduate excelling in football and track and field. Upon graduation, Mike enlisted in the US Army. He was stationed in France, where he played football for the La Rochelle Rams for two years. When he returned to his beloved hometown, he spent his working career in manufacturing and fabrication. Notably, he was the General Manager of Columbia Boiler Company of Pottstown, for 25 years until his retirement in 2004.
Mike was an avid Coatesville sports fan. He was a pivotal figure in Coatesville Midget Football league for decades. Mike had the innate ability to memorize local and state stats, following players throughout high school and into college. He rarely missed a Coatesville football game - home or away. He loved watching and supporting Coatesville football, basketball and wrestling. He enjoyed going to the PIAA State Wrestling finals in Hershey PA year after year. Mike was on the Coatesville Sports Hall of Fame committee since its inception in 2000, later inducted in 2014.
Mike was a lifelong Lutheran and an active member of the Lutheran Church of the Good Shepard since its groundbreaking in 1974. He served as the church sexton for 35 years. Mike was a Mason for over 50 years at Brandywine Goddard Lodge No. 383 and Coatesville Royal Arch Chapter 267. Mike married the love of his life, Nancy Morrison Logue, on July 7, 1962. He was a devoted husband and later caretaker to Nancy up until her death in 2010. Mike enjoyed working outside in his yard. He treasured spending time with his friends and loved ones. Mike had a passion for adventure. He traveled through Europe several times. His favorite thing to do was to drive. He drove on road trips around the United States extensively admiring all the beauty of America. Mike was the pillar of strength to his entire family. He will be sorely missed by friends, family and community.
Mike was predeceased by Nancy Morrison Logue, Sisters Lucinda Reach and Suzanne Sheehan.
He is survived by his son Eric, Granddaughter Jana, Great-Granddaughter Chloe, Sister Judith Boyd, and loving partner of 15 years Roberta Wilson.
A Memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, March 27 at the Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd, 107 S. 17th Avenue, Coatesville where relatives and friends may visit with the family from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Interment will be in All Souls Cemetery.
