William F. "Bill" Snoots, 94, of Coatesville died Thursday, November 16, 2017 at Hickory House Nursing Home, Honey Brook.
He was the husband of Elaine D. Snoots, who preceded him in death in 1987.
Born in Washington, DC, he was the son of the late Frederick and Lenore Owens Snoots.
Bill served in the U.S. Army during World War II in the Pacific Theater.
After his military service, he was employed with Safeway for 40 years retiring as the Produce Manager.
Bill enjoyed camping, fishing, yard work, gardening, bird watching and cooking. He was an avid reader of westerns.
He is survived by his fiancé of 27 years, Jessie A. Taylor; a son, Frederick W. Snoots; a daughter, Laura A. Breedlove; two stepsons, Keith E. Taylor and Donald S. Taylor; three stepdaughters, Donna K. Taylor, Sharon M. Owens and Karen L. Smee; 15 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren and several great, great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by three sons, William H. Snoots, Michael S. Snoots and Roy W. Snoots; a granddaughter, Kimberly Snoots and two sisters, Mildred Williams and Madeline Zier.
Funeral services will be private.
